Mobile Suspended Scaffold of Type EUROPE
Structure: Kühlturm RWE Kraftwerk, Niederaußem

An 8-storey suspension scaffold was erected to reinforce the middle section of the cooling tower's concrete shell. It consists of eight 4 m long platform segments placed under each other. The platforms are connected by an 18 m long ladder construction.

14 mm steel wire cables are used to suspend the entire construction from a carriage placed on the top of the cooling tower at a height of 120 m. The carriage is operated electrically, thereby enabling the suspended scaffold to be moved easily around the complete cooling tower.

The scaffold is boarded via a motorized suspended scaffold that moves up and down on steel cables below the suspended scaffold.


Silo Access System of Type KB- SB-GM-AS

This special mobile access system has been designed for accessing and strengthening silos.

The light lattice mast components up to 1.5 metres in length enable silos with a total height of 20 m to be accessed. As a result of the compact construction, the components can be inserted through a manhole of Ø 600 mm. The payload is 120 kg or 1 person.

The system is moved vertically by means of a cable winch with cable winding. Special suspension enables the system to be moved manually by 360°.

A BMU working platform with windlass carriages was used to carry out assembly work and to access the bridge soffit over the A8.

To prevent any tools from falling on to the motorway during the assembly work, movable side walls were fitted here.


Special Mobile Platform - Length 25 m

The 25 m long aluminium maintenance and cleaning platform is anchored, on the one hand, to a rotating assembly, which encloses the pylon, and is suspended from special travelling gears, on the other.

The platform is equipped with a sliding platform and a vertically adjustable working cage to enable it to reach all glass roof surfaces.

All the functions are controlled by electric drives. The rail system consisting of steel beams is fixed to glued-laminated timber girders, with both the differences in height and the variation in radii being taken into account here. The maintenance platform is moved up and down by means of special drives.

Owing to the aggressive chlorinated atmosphere in this open-air swimming pool, a special protective coating was applied to the entire construction.


Facade Cradle for Special Structures
Structure: CargoLifter hangar, Brand

The installation and maintenance platform moves across the glazed arch girders with the aid of two cable winches.

An electro-hydraulic swivel drive is used to adjust the rail-guided platform automatically to the changing inclination.

The payload of the 3 m x 2 m platform is 600 kg.


Special Construction for Airbus Hangar
Structure: Airbus hangar, Hamburg

To access the longitudinal and transverse girders of the 300 m long airbus hangar, one access system was installed for the main girder and another for the transverse subsidiary girder. The mobile crane is used to place one of the systems on the subsidiary girders.



Bridge Edge Scaffold

The aluminium bridge edge scaffold is used for working on bridge edges.
The swivel mechanism allows work to be carried out on both the soffit and the deck side.
The system is supported on the handrail and the concrete surface.


Cooling Tower




Käufer's special access systems are used to reconstruct the concrete of cooling towers and to reinforce them. The upper carriages are operated horizontally from the working platform by means of an electric drive. They are moved vertically by means of cable winches with 9/ 18 m/min. cable speed.

A contact pressure boom system is used for external access so as to achieve sufficient surface pressure in the waist of the cooling tower.
